Food was phenomenal. One of the few places open late and during the winter. Came here for my birthday craving some seafood and they were amazing. The crab dip, the drinks, the shrimp!!!
Crab cake sandwich was very good (I’m originally from Maryland, so standards are high). The fries were delicious and crispy and the Come Back sauce indeed may make me come back. The fried flounder was great as well for the day’s special. I was very taken aback by the ambiance, which was cozy, spacious, and modern on the inside. Our server was fantastic as well. Great place for lunch!
Service was friendly and fast. Our food was very good. My son‘s pizza was outstanding, the crust was crispy and airy, so delicious and reminded me of a pizza from Italy. My husband thought the Tavern burger was a bit salty, maybe because of the ham, but still very tasty. The price was reasonable. We really enjoyed the outside dinning area.
I stopped in mid-afternoon no wait for a seat at the bar as it was just me. Ordered the shrimp and scallops patty with a side of fries then banana cheesecake for dessert. Every bit of it was excellent. The person behind the bar was friendly and excellent with service. Clean establishment with a great menu.
Friendly and welcoming, with great food. I stopped in on my way to the hatteras ferry and was able to grab a spot at the bar without any wait. The server was courteous and quick. The locals at the bar were friendly and seem to be regulars, so you know its gotta be good! The brick fired pizza was perfect to get to take to the ferry. Highly recommend. Local charm, friendly, quick, clean and yummy.
Absolutely a fabulous experience. The vibe, the service and the food were spectacular. The bartender made me a great dirty Martini! Highly recommend for lunch or a nice date night.
Sightseeing the area with no plans, we stumbled upon Tavern on 12. Seated right away with a friendly staff, Local Craft Beer (1718 from the Island) and good food. The wife had the burger, cooked to perfection. I had the Cubano, the bread made the sandwich.
Love Tavern on the 12. It is a must when we visit Hatteras. I created my own BBQ pizza (Sorry no pics) I have also had a burger and shrimp. Everything we have eaten has been amazing and the portion to price in my opinion is very good. Always great friendly service and despite it being busy, food came out hot and fresh. Also love the vibe of the place. We will always hit this place up when in Hatteras.
